About Jupiter
TVS Jupiter is a scooter available in 4 variants in india. Its lowest version starts from a price of ₹65,294 (ex-showroom) and the top version from a price of ₹72,297 (ex-showroom). TVS Jupiter generates 7.3 bhp of power and 8.4 nm of torque from its 109.7cc engine. Single cylinder engine of Jupiter has an automatic gearbox. Both rear and front brakes of TVS Jupiter are drum brakes. This 109 kg scooter is available in 14 colours.
The TVS Jupiter is a 110cc scooter that competes against the Honda Activa. Of course, as with all TVS products, it proves to be a better value than the prevailing industry standards. And, with certain variants like the ZX, and Classic series, it also elevates the style quotient.
The Jupiter is powered by a 109cc, fuel-injected, air-cooled single-cylinder engine that generates 7.8bhp and 8Nm of torque. It gets fuel-injection, LED-headlamp, smoked windscreen and USB charger in the front mobile storage compartment. It runs on 12-inch rims, both front and rear, which was a unique wheel size combination for the Indian market when it launched. Another unique feature is the external fuel filler lid – which doesn’t require the rider to dismount from the seat to access the fuel filling lid. It is available with a staggering twelve colour options, and the ‘Classic’ variant offers a retro touch with windshields, chrome accents and circular chrome mirrors. The front disc brake comes as a standard feature in the Classic models (except the BS6 version of the Classic series) and is optional in the top-spec ZX trim. Furthermore, the top-spec Grande variant comes with a few additional features like a Bluetooth enabled semi-digital instrument console and a unique light blue colour shade to distinguish it from the other variants. It also gets machine-cut alloy wheels as opposed to the cast design ones on the rest of the variants. All variants of the Jupiter are equipped with Synchronized Braking System which partially also apply the front brake on the application of the rear brake.
The Jupiter has managed to emerge as the top-selling TVS scooter by a large margin thanks to its stellar combination of comfort, value and ease of maintenance. It directly rivals the Honda Activa 6G, Hero Maestro Edge and Yamaha Cygnus Ray ZR.
