About Dominar 250

Bajaj Dominar 250 is a cruiser bike available in 1 variant in india. Its price starts from ₹1,60,003 (ex-showroom). Bajaj Dominar 250 generates 26.6 bhp of power and 23.5 nm of torque from its 248.8cc engine. Single cylinder engine of Dominar 250 has a 6 speed manual gearbox. With both rear and front disk brakes, Bajaj Dominar 250 also has an anti-locking braking system. This 180 kg bike is available in 2 colours.

Bajaj Auto has made the Dominar brand more accessible with the launch of new Dominar 250. This quarter-litre iteration of the company’s flagship motorcycle is priced at Rs 1.60 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). In comparison, the Dominar 400 retails at Rs 1.91 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

The new Dominar 250 looks similar to Dominar 400. The muscular styling is complemented by premium hardware such as full-LED lighting, split-style digital display, split seats, twin-barrel exhaust, stylish mirror stalks, upside-down telescopic front forks, rear mono-shock, disc brakes on both wheels and a dual-channel ABS. Important ride-related information is displayed on the primary display while the rest of the information is available on the secondary display on the fuel tank.

The colour options include ‘Canyon Red’ and ‘Vine Black’. The latter is also available on the Dominar 400. The motorcycle is pitched as a tourer. Enhancing its touring-character are the bungee straps that are tucked under the seat. The straps aim to provide mounting points to mount a tail bag on the motorcycle.

Mechanical specifications on the Dominar 250 include a 248.77cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC, four-valve engine that’s based on the KTM 250 Duke. However, unlike the 250 Duke, Dominar 250 features a twin-spark technology. The engine is tuned to produce 26.6bhp at 8,500rpm and 23.5Nm at 6,500rpm. The six-speed gearbox features a slipper clutch system. The 0-100kmph acceleration takes 10.5 second while the top speed is rated at 132kmph.

The new Bajaj Dominar will compete against quarter-litre products such as the Yamaha FZ25 and the Suzuki Gixxer 250.
