About Fascino 125
Yamaha Fascino 125 is a scooter available in 4 variants in india. Its lowest version starts from a price of ₹70,233 (ex-showroom) and the top version from a price of ₹73,729 (ex-showroom). Yamaha Fascino 125 generates 8 bhp of power and 9.7 nm of torque from its 125cc engine. Single cylinder engine of Fascino 125 has an automatic gearbox. Both rear and front brakes of Yamaha Fascino 125 are drum brakes. This 99 kg scooter is available in 7 colours.
Yamaha Motor India seems to have resorted to be fashionably late in the growing 125cc scooter segment, as it is only now that the bike maker has finally launched the all-new Fascino 125. This scooter will be the successor of the out-going Fascino 110 and with this Yamaha has opted to shift its focus from the 100cc segment to the 125cc segment. The company has introduced the Fascino 125 in four variants — STD Drum, STD Disc, DLX Drum and DLX Disc; thus making the scooter accessible to a larger customer base.
Design-wise, while the scooter follows the same silhouette of the current Fascino 110, it has a more defined form with prominent chrome accents. This gives the scooter a more mature and premium look. Besides that, compared to its predecessor that came with steel wheels, the new Fascino 125 is equipped with cast alloy wheels that have a 12-inch front and 10-inch rear configuration. Yamaha has also managed to reduce four kgs in terms of the overall weight of the scooter, thanks to the redesigned frame and alloy wheels. On the feature front, the scooter is equipped with larger 21-litre underseat storage, wider seat for better comfort, multi-function key fob with seat opener and a side stand engine cut-off switch.
Upgrading to a larger 125cc motor, which is 30 per cent higher than the 110cc model in terms of displacement, the BS6 compliant motor is capable of churning out 8bhp and 9.7Nm of peak torque. In terms of efficiency, Yamaha claims that the Fascino 125 is capable of returning a mileage figure of 58kmpl which is 16 per cent higher than the 110cc version.
Coming to cycle parts, the scooter is suspended by telescopic forks up front and a monoshock at the rear. Braking is handled by either a drum-drum or a disc-drum setup depending on the variant selected.
Yamaha is offering the new Fascino 125 with a wide choice of colour options ranging from the Suave Copper, Dark Matte Blue, Cyan Blue and Metallic Black for both the disc and drum variants, along with the Vivid Red and Yellow Cocktail exclusive for the disc brake trim.
