Royal Enfield Himalayan is a commuter bike available in 3 variants in india. Its lowest version starts from a price of ₹1,89,538 (ex-showroom) and the top version from a price of ₹1,94,127 (ex-showroom). Royal Enfield Himalayan generates 24.3 bhp of power and 32 nm of torque from its 411cc engine. Single cylinder engine of Himalayan has a 5 speed manual gearbox. With both rear and front disk brakes, the top variant of Royal Enfield Himalayan also has an anti-locking braking system. This 199 kg bike is available in 6 colours.
The Himalayan is Royal Enfield’s only off-road focused motorcycle that is now BS6-compliant. As part of the update, the Himalayan gets three new colour schemes- Gravel Grey, Rock Red and Lake Blue along with the Snow White, Granite Black and Sleet Grey colours from the earlier model.
It also gets new features like a switchable ABS which turns off the ABS to the rear wheel and a hazard light switch. Royal Enfield has also equipped the motorcycle with a revised side stand. The motorcycle uses a 411cc, single-cylinder engine that is now BS6-compliant. In terms of cycle parts, the Himalayan retains the 21-inch front wheel and 17-inch rear wheel shod with dual-sport rubber. Braking is done by a 300mm disc upfront and a 220mm disc at the rear with ABS as standard. Meanwhile, suspension duties are taken care of by 41mm telescopic forks up front and a monoshock at the rear.
Royal Enfield is also offering a three-year warranty with the new Himalayan. In terms of competition, the motorcycle goes up against the BMW G310 GS and the KTM 390 Adventure in India.
