Maruti Suzuki Swift 2021 India launch in February 2021

Maruti Suzuki Swift 2021 facelift will be launched in India in February 2021. Sources familiar with the development confirmed the country’s largest automaker will launch the updated version of the popular Maruti Swift hatchback in India on either 17 or 18 February. The previous news was that the upcoming Maruti Suzuki car’s launch date had been scheduled for some time this month. In fact, the first set of images of the new Maruti Suzuki Swift on a test run here also emerged just last month.

First things first — the updated model in India will come sporting a plethora of updates and upgrades.  Let’s first discuss the exterior changes. Much like the model retailed in international markets, the 2021 Swift facelift in India too will get minimal changes to its exterior. This list will primarily included a redesigned grille.

The car won’t get too many changes inside either — actually, we don’t expect Maruti Suzuki to offer any changes in the interior other than probably new upholstery for the seats. The list of 2021 Maruti Suzuki Swift’s features too is unlikely to change — the hatchback is expected to get provisions such as automatic LED headlights, LED DRLs, 15-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system (borrowed from New Ertiga), and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, among other things.

As for the engine, i.e. the most important change — the new Swift will get a new and more powerful 1.2-litre Dualjet petrol engine that belts out a maximum power output of 89 bhp and a peak torque of 113 Nm. It will also feature idle start-stop technology and offer better fuel-economy. Transmission options will include a choice between a five-speed manual gearbox and a five-speed AMT.
