Documents Required for Driving License in Uttar Pradesh

Are you planning to get a driving license from Uttar Pradesh? We have reviewed and listed down the application process and the list of documents that are required to apply for a learners license or a permanent driving license in Uttar Pradesh.

The application process of Learning License in Uttar Pradesh

  • Learner License (LL) can be applied only online through website  https://sarathi.parivahan.gov.in (Select Uttar Pradesh as your state)
  • The application can be made by self or through any Jan Sewa Kendra.
  • There are 5 steps for completion of the application.
  1. Fill application details.
  2. Upload documents. (Age Proof, Address Proof, and self-declaration of medical fitness in form 1 and a medical certificate in form 1A for applicants who have attained the age of 50 years.)
  3. Upload photo and signature.
  4. Payment of fee.
  5. LL test slot booking.
  • After completion of the above steps, applicants have to take a printout of the Application form, Fee receipt, and slot booking receipt. The applicant will also be required to have a photocopy of the address and age proof certificate with the above application form. 
  • As per slot booking applicants have to go concerned office with the above documents for scrutiny of documents and biometric capturing.
  • After that applicants have to attend the computerized LL test.
  • The test result will be displayed on the screen after the test completed. If the applicant gets failed, can repay the test fee after one week to attend the test again.
  • LL can be printed online by the applicant after approval of licensing authority.

Required Document for Learner License

  • Application in Form No.2. ( Filled by the applicant by online)
  • Medical Certificate in Form No. 1-A.
  • Passport photograph and Signature for uploading while filling the form.
  • Fees as specified in rule-32.
  • Proof of age & address as per rule while filling the form.

Fees of Learning License

  • In present for one class of vehicle defined Learning License application fee is Rs150 and test fee is Rs 50.
  • For both classes as for Motorcycle and LMV Car fee is (150+150) 300 and test fee 50 is defined. Thus a total of 350 will have to pay.

The application process of Driving License in Uttar Pradesh

  • Driving License (DL) can be applied only after having valid learner license more than 30 days old through website https://sarathi.parivahan.gov.in (Select Uttar Pradesh as your state)
  • The application can be made by self or through any Jan Sewa Kendra.
  • There are 4 steps for completion of the application.
  1. Fill application details.
  2. Upload documents. (Address Proof and Learning License)
  3. Payment of fee.
  4. DL test slot booking.
  • After completion of the above steps, applicants have to take a printout of the Application form, Fee receipt, and slot booking receipt. The applicant will also require to have a photocopy of the address and Learning License with the above application form. 
  • As per slot booking applicants have to go concerned office with the above documents for scrutiny of documents and biometric capturing.
  • After that applicants have to attend the Driving Skill Test.
  • If the applicant fails, then he or she can repay the test fee after one week to attend the test again.
  • Driving License of Test Passed applicant will be approved by licensing authority and will be sent on the given address by applicant.

Fees of Driving License

  • For one class of vehicle (Motorcycle or Light Motor Vehicle) total fee is Rs 700 (Test fee Rs 300, DL issue fee Rs 200 and Smart Card fee Rs 200).
  • Two class of vehicle (Motorcycle and Light Motor Vehicle) total fee is Rs 1000 (Test fee Rs 600, DL issue fee Rs 200 and Smart Card fee Rs 200).

The application process of Duplicate License in Uttar Pradesh

There is no form for the issuance of a duplicate driving license in Uttar Pradesh. You just need to write an application on a plain paper with all the requisite details and sub, it to the same RTO that issued the original driving license.
