An international driving license can be obtained by applying for it at the RTO office. Holding an international DL gives an individual the freedom to drive his vehicle in foreign counties that are a signatory to the UN Convention. The application for the international driving permit can be made online through parivahan.gov.in or at the RTO office. The application form can be downloaded online and on the basis of verification of the documents, the IDP is issued to the applicant.
